Once the snow has settled and we ease back into warmer temperatures, then its time to get riding again. Just like people, that mare tends to be less active in the winter months. So not only does that mare have to get yourself back into shape again. You need to get yourself loosened up too.
So where do you start? Well you can spend a ton of money at the gym, but I’d focus on something like pilates. It focuses on the core strength, flexibility and overall control. That is the kind of training that will get you back into riding shape. So if I were you..bring that fancy yoga ball to house with you and get a sweat going.
